Joining Sinai Temple

We’re proud to be a vibrant and thoughtful Reform congregation here in Western Massachusetts, and we welcome your learning more about our Temple.

Several years ago we engaged in a project that brought together over 180 congregants to share their feelings about our Temple. Out of those conversations, we developed a “mission statement” which truly captures the spirit of Sinai. When you read the statement, we hope you’ll sense that Sinai might be a wonderful synagogue home for you.

Here’s the statement:

Sinai Temple is a welcoming and inclusive Reform Congregation where our members pursue a continuing journey of Jewish growth. We are guided by the history and traditions of the Jewish people as we encounter the challenges of the modern world. We encourage participation in prayer, life-long Jewish learning, and social justice within a joyful, creative, and compassionate community.

To learn more about Sinai, please contact our Temple office or, better still, come visit us at services or any other time that is convenient for you. We would love to welcome you into Sinai. (By the way, our office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. We are open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. Our telephone number is 413-736-3619.)
