I'm on the second page this month because Sinai is bursting with opportunities. This Bulletin contains several full page notices because there is so much to share.

First up, we have an incredible guest teacher joining us in October. Professor Stephen Berk has spoken several times in the Springfield area. He has also led many members of our Jewish community on extremely successful trips to Israel and Europe. Anyone who knows him says he is an outstanding teacher and this month he will be ours for a full weekend. Come hear him once; come several times. He won't disappoint you!

Looking ahead into next month, I'm so proud that we will be opening our doors to tens of artists from Israel. Back in 2003, we had a fabulous Israeli Art Show sponsored by the Safrai Gallery of Jerusalem. Now the Gallery is back with new creativity – some of the art religious but much of it simply beautiful contemporary artistic expression. You can buy or just come to enjoy the sites.

In between, how about becoming part of our Synaplex/Showcase Shabbat on Friday, October 19. There is enough variety on that one eve- ning so that something should appeal to everyone – even the dinner will be delectable. Think about Hebrew too. You can finally begin Hebrew or refresh your Hebrew at several levels.
