January-February 2013 Bulletin Message from Men of Sinai President Phil Lesser

Many thanks to all who helped during the Chanukah dinner and all the breakfasts. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Great food, great friends, great speakers. If you haven’t been to our Sunday morning breakfasts, that’s what you have missed. From agriculture to the Time Capsules of the Warsaw Ghetto, to how our culture is changing with regard to gender and same sex relationship issues, we have explored a variety of interesting topics for open and interesting discussions. Come join us for our next speaker, Adam Metsch, who will be speaking on college issues, from strategies on reducing costs, scholarships, and how to choose the right school. Each breakfast has been full, so please make your reservation with the temple office early, and don’t be left out!

Israel, Purim, and the Snyder dinner awards are just around the corner. We need your nominations for Snyder Awards soon so we can update you in the next bulletin. Get ready, more events like hockey night in January, movie nights, all coming soon! Come join us for all of these with more to come!

November-December 2012 Bulletin Message from Men of Sinai President Phil Lesser

The Men Of Sinai have been very busy already this year. Starting with the barbeque to open religious school, helping to set up and take down the sukkah, to donating to the "Raise the roof" campaign and speakers like Belle Rita Novak and the Rabbi, we are not going to rest now. We also enjoyed our first annual golf outing at Franconia! We have again planned for another busy couple of months with several wonderful speakers such as Prof Samuel Kassow speaking about the Warsaw ghettos and Jennifer Levi from GLADD who helped write the legislation for same sex marriage in Massachusetts. "Hockey and Havdallah," family night out at the movies, and bowling are all coming soon.

Please look for these programs in the E-Vents, and join us. They are open to all, Men,Women, and families. You don’t have to be a member to join in with our activities, just come and enjoy being part of the community and have some fun! We hope everyone enjoyed the Welcome Back Barbecue on the opening day of Religious School. More food to come during the upcoming year! If you have not joined Men Of Sinai yet there is still time. With more global and interesting topics, with more family events, don’t miss out!

Welcome back from a wonderful summer. As the new President of the Men of Sinai, this has been an exciting and fast summer as we have been planning an upcoming year full of open discussion and fun! Last year was a very busy and productive one for the Temple and for the Men of Sinai. We have again planned another busy year with several wonderful speakers, barbeques and events like “Hockey and Havdallah,” family night out at the movies, golf, and bowling. Some of the speakers we are excited to present are Professor Kassow to speak on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, and Jennifer Levi from GLADD who helped write the legislation for same sex marriage in Massachusetts.

With programs like these, we are in for a terrific year. Thank you to everyone that worked so hard on planning the upcoming year’s events. We hope everyone enjoyed the Welcome Back Barbecue on the opening day of Religious School. More food to come during the upcoming year! If you have not joined Men Of Sinai yet there is still time.
