Grandparenting in the Age of Intermarriage - November 3, 2011The InterFaith Matters Committee of Sinai invites you to an open and supportive discussion on Thursday, November 3rd at 6pm in the Oneg Shabbat room. How can I participate in raising my Jewish grandchildren? What are some strategies for being grandparents within an interfaith family? Shoshana Zonderman, MSW, MJEd. will be the facilitator. She is a trained Jewish family educator and clinical social worker who also works with Interfaith outreach in our community. Come join us for a FREE "lite" dinner and dessert! All are welcome! A Parenting Conversation Featuring Author Anita Diamant Sunday, December 4 at 9:30 a.m. at the JCC The arrival of Chanukah and Christmas can be an exciting and stressful time in a family's life. Parents (and in-laws) may have different feelings about the holidays. This event is an opportunity to reflect about what is important to you and what values you want to pass along to your children. Anita Diamant is the author of 11 books, including the bestseller and award-winning novel, The Red Tent. The morning will begin with refreshments at 9 a.m. followed by the presentation at 9:30 a.m. (Sinai parents will be free to pick up their children when Sunday School ends at 11:30 a.m.)
